Monthly Yoga and Tea for those who’ve had a personal cancer journey.
MB is excited to be able to continue to offer a monthly opportunity for those whose lives have included a cancer journey to come together and share their yoga practice and then have an afternoon tea as a community.
Meeting usually on one Saturday of each month, this offering includes a 1.5 hour gentle yoga class led by MB in the cozy Bija Yoga Berlin yoga studio in the Graefekiez for people who have or have had cancer.
The space can accommodate up to 13 students at a time, which means that this gathering will be small enough to allow MB to get to know you and be able to provide modifications and alternatives that allow you to personalize the yoga practice so it suits your emotional, energetic, spiritual, and physical needs on any given day.
After the yoga class, you are then invited to stay for an an hour of tea and chatting. This can be an opportunity for the group to get to know one another, to talk about life with or post-cancer, and to enjoy a warm glass of tea (or cool glass of tea, if the weather calls for it!). This can be casual or can become an opportunity for participants to introduce topics for discussions.
The goal of this gathering is to provide a supportive community environment for those of us who have faced cancer to practice yoga together.
Anyone who has had a personal cancer journey is welcome to join in, whether your journey is fresh and active or one that rests in the past. All levels of yoga experience and non-experience are welcome.

How active is the yoga class? The yoga class will be gentle in nature, with options to keep your practice cooling and grounding or ot heat it up. If you are interested in joining but not up for the physical part of the practice for any reason (treatment related or otherwise), you are still welcome to come and join us on the mat.
